Past performance is often the first, and sometimes only, consideration investors make when selecting an investment manager. However, performance is just one of the four key considerations to make.
As the disclaimer goes: ‘Past performance does not indicate future returns’ – there is simply no guarantee that performance can be replicated over the long term. You should also consider the three other ‘Ps’: philosophy, process and people.
